The Georgia Bulldogs have scored a major victory on the recruiting trail with the commitment of Jared Curtis, a five-star quarterback from Nashville, Tennessee. Curtis, a member of the class of 2026, announced his decision to join the Bulldogs on Saturday.
Standing at an impressive 6’4″ and weighing 225 pounds, Curtis currently plays for Nashville Christian School. He chose Georgia over offers from a host of top programs, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Texas, among others.
Jared Curtis was drawn to Georgia’s offensive system, which he feels is similar to what he runs at his high school. “We have a couple plays where we’re under center just like them,” he told UGASports last year. “They do a lot of screen passes and quick slants and stuff which really works and tears up some defenses. Overall, I like it. I like it a lot.”
Jared Curtis’ commitment is a testament to the recruiting prowess of Georgia’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, Mike Bobo, who played a key role in securing the highly-touted prospect. Head coach Kirby Smart also expressed his excitement about the news on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Rated as the No. 1 quarterback and the No. 9 overall recruit in the nation by 247Sports Composite, Curtis is a game-changing addition to Georgia’s 2026 class. Rivals.com also holds him in high regard, ranking him as a four-star recruit, the No. 2 quarterback in the country, and the top recruit in the state of Tennessee.
With Jared Curtis’ commitment, Georgia’s 2026 class is off to a strong start, currently ranked second in the 247Sports Team Rankings behind only Ohio State. This talented signal-caller sets Bulldogs fans to be excited about the future of their program by joining the fold.
